Theoretical and practical conference Russian traditions and their role in the education began its work in Mordovia on the base of Mordovian State University. According to the words of Evgeniya Kudryashova, the university Chair of Pedagogy associate professor, recent times only the innovations were discussed at such conferences leaving away traditions. Thus the Chair decided to focus on the traditions of the education.

Professors Bruce Miller and Raditsa Bratilich from Canada, DPhil and Culture Museum Curator Ildigo Lekhtineni and Doctor of Philology Lidiya Toidibekova-Mustonen from Finland came to the conference.

For three days the scientists, trainers, postgraduates and student from over 10 Russian regions will discuss educational traditions, ethno-pedagogical aspect of traditional education and will talk about the traditions influence on the personality forming.
